The local markets (in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and Saint-Jean-de Monts) will give you the opportunity to taste a range of regional products. You’ll find local producers selling fruit, vegetables, poultry and all the delicious produce that the Vendée has to offer.
For a change of scenery, take a boat trip to the island l’Ile d’Yeu, which will leave you with nothing but good memories.

The salt marsh of la Vie, la bourrine du Bois Juquaud (ecomuseum) are definitely worth visiting. Beaches, rocky coast, dunes, marsh and forest: we are here in a real breathtaking multifaceted region. It’s all but monotonous.
There are many varied sites to visit and to explore: museums, botanic gardens, salt marshes, mills, churches, guided walks, treasure hunts and the little tourist train …
And for entertainment, there is something for the likes of everyone: festivals, free concerts, fairground, second hand stores, night markets, gastronomic fairs and sporting events…
