La Bourrine du Bois Juquand’s museum, at 6km from the campsite

La bourrine du bois Juquaud is an historical housing coverd with reeds. The story of a life style in the coastal marshes. Protected and classified museum, you’ll be able to visit it on the opening hours, and also during special events organized around traditional Vendéenne dances.

Fishing Harbour in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, at 8km from the campsite

Escale Pêche is a museum that invite you to discover the life style of the fishing harbour of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, but also Les Sables d’Olonne, Noirmoutier and Yeu’s ones. Exhibitions come to life to teach you about the life of a fisherman, the different methods and about fish in general.

Breton marsh Vendéen Le Daviaud, 20km from the campsite

Looking for Vendée history and heritage? You are in the right place. The Musée de France du Daviaud, located at La Barre de Monts, combines exhibitions and participatory activities. You will discover the operation of the marsh, from its origin to the present day. On the way, you will not fail to stop at Kulmino, on the road to Notre Dame de Monts: a breathtaking view from a panoramic platform 70 meters above the ground, giving way to a typical landscape of the coast of Light between sea, swamp and forest.

The island of Noirmoutier, 40km from the campsite

The almost island of Noirmoutier is easily accessible at any time of the day. It is a must in the region for lovers of regional architecture and customs of the country: visits to oyster farmers and oyster farmers, fleur de sel from the salt marshes, new potatoes, small ports and beach huts typical of photo novels. The beautiful Noirmoutier has many surprises in store for you! Access to the island is via two places: the bridge or the Passage du Gois, a mythical path accessible only at low tide. In one day, you can go around the island, stopping at key points such as the Bois de la Chaise, the Guérinière mill, the village of Le Vieil… We advise you to leave for the full day.
